WHAT REMINDS YOU THE WORD "LOFT" ?

For me it’s a small town or a small village. I spent a few years abroad where I lived in a Loft, in a community. In fact, in the 1970s, everything happened in common, there was not too much of a private sphere. The loft for me is ... look at this workshop here (showing his workshop). I did my paintings there. It's a space like a small village where everything works, we find food, we sleep, we work, we receive people. One of my collaborators created a parallel workshop like this one in a loft.

WHAT ARE YOUR AFFINITIES WITH THE WORD "LOFT"?

A loft must be accompanied by either a large terrace with a picture window or a garden. Kenzo made himself a Loft in Paris and inside was a very large terrace, an interior courtyard with a Japanese garden. When you are there, you feel in another world. You have to create things that change your daily life.

YOUR SLOGAN FOR THE LIFE?

It's all about balance in every way. This is the only thing that is valid. In life there are good and bad things, the main thing is that on average everything balances out.
